What is PPF?
PPF is a protective film applied to vehicle paintwork. It helps protect the painted surface against stone chips and light surface scratches from everyday use. Clear films retain the vehicle’s design, while other finishes may be available depending on the product series.
Choose coverage to suit your vehicle
Installation can cover a single panel, the front end or a wider area. Priority areas are selected according to city driving, long-distance use and budget. Existing paint, previous repairs and surface condition should be checked before application.
Installation details
A clean, properly prepared surface is just as important as the choice of film. Panel shape, edge finishing and the film’s fit all affect the result. We review the covered areas and aftercare requirements before handover.
PPF and ceramic coating: the difference
PPF is a physical film layer. Ceramic coating is a surface treatment intended to change how water and dirt interact with the surface and make cleaning easier. The two treatments do not serve exactly the same purpose. If used together, product compatibility should be checked.
Protection and aftercare limits
No film can prevent every impact or type of damage. Features such as self-healing, warranty duration and care instructions are specific to each product. Before installation, confirm the brand, series, coverage and any warranty documentation.
Frequently asked questions
Is PPF only suitable for new vehicles?
It can also be considered for used vehicles. Suitability depends on the condition of the paint and surface; previous paintwork may influence the decision.
Are PPF and bonnet protection film the same thing?
PPF describes the material and type of protection, while bonnet film describes the area covered. The bonnet is one of the areas where PPF can be applied; full-vehicle coverage can be planned separately.
How long does installation take?
The time required depends on the vehicle’s size, surface preparation and number of panels to be covered. A handover schedule is agreed after assessing your vehicle and the requested coverage.
